Resumo: The host organizationis located in a small village. The area is very beautyful and offers good sightseeing opportunities. The village itself offers little of interest apart from the school and local church but there is a number of small towns within biking distance.

At our organization we currently have a very strong focus on boxing, fitness and arts, but we aim to slowly develope our focus to also include International Relations.
The host organization is based on the social and cultural values and thoughts of Grundtvig and K. Kold. That means that we prioritise co-existence, enlightment for life and seeing eye-to-eye with the students. Our aim being to educate whole and welformed humans.

Our students are betwen 14 and 17 years old. They come from all around Denmark and we normally have a few from abroad, most often from Greenland. As it is a boarding school our students stay here during week days, but many also choose to stay here for the weekend, where we arrange different activities.

By joining the Erasmus+ programme we hope that we will allow more people to experience our unique form of schooling and culture, while at the same time giving our own students a great opportunity to experience other cultures. Meeting people from other cultures provides a more realistic and engaging learning experience than anything else we can hope to provide and we hope this will help our students see themselves not only as citizens of Denmark, but also as a part of the global community.

Our project is open for young people, who want to be volunteers. As the volunteers will work with students as old as 17, we expect the volunteers to be 21 or older. Preferably the volunteer should have a basic level of English and an interest in teaching and have worked with young people before.

Perfil: Age: 22-30

Tarefas: We expect the volunteers to engage in all aspects of the school and there will be plenty of opportunities to assist in daily tasks, such as cooking, monitoring cleaning, and helping with homework. We also expect the volunteer to take part in our special activities such as travels to other countries, camping trips, and parties. The activities will depend on the personal background and skills each of the volunteers bring to the school, but in general the volunteers will be expected to handle the after school projects and evening activities. They will also be given time and resources to start their own projects. If they want to work as teaching assistance in specific subjects that can also be arranged.

As the volunteers in some ways will be ambassadors for their own country it would be helpful if they are outgoing and have a good understanding of their own country and cultural roots.
