Resumo: The host organization is located in a village, that is located 5 minutes away from a town, and 30 minutes away from the capitol. The school is from 1-9 grade and total of 168 pupil. All the teachers are kind, friendly and helpful (with english there could be a problem, but most of them know some german and russian :)) and Latvian of course.

Tarefas: The main tasks that could be done, (of course everything is changeable), to assist teachers in the everyday lessons, prepare some extra activities with kids, that you think could be good, or that you would like to make with them.

As this will be our first EVS in the school it will be something new for all parties involved.

At the beginning you will have like a week to adopt and to think about what you could do and to see what is going on at the school…

Further (at the beginning) the main tasks will be connected to helping the English lessons to chat with kids, and to make them overcome the shyness of communicating with foreigners in different language.

After, when the teachers will get used to a volunteer in the school, and will see how EVS can be done and how helpful it could be for both parties, (and after learning some Latvian) some assistance to other teachers could be done. The assistance is understood as helping the teacher in the class, recommending some new approaches, maybe helping some kids that have some english learning problems. And basically many new things that will be created together. :)
