Resumo: The project is located in an avarage town. It is a middle class place, because a significant part of inhabitants works or studies. Public and private transport to the city is very well-developed (regular train and bus services each day). In our town exists the cultural-social life as well. There is a House of Culture, School of Art, 2 libraries, 2 museums, a stadium, an ice rink, sports clubs, a swimming pool, many pubs and restaurants. The House of Culture arranges oftens exhibitions and recitals, the Minsk Music Association organizes concerts, the Sport Union sets up sport events.

Perfil: We don’t discriminate anybody, we invite everybody from every kind of background to participate in our EVS-project. We would especially welcome an open minded and full of ideas and energy preson with a sense of humour. We would like to invite a volunteer who is highly motiveted to develop and lead his/her own workshops, with the support of our team. The activities depend a lot on the initiative of the volunteer, so we wish this person is also able and willing to take advantage of the space in the project for his/her creativity. The volunteer should really enjoy working with other people and especially with children and youngsters. The person should be motivated to learn Polish as he/she will work with children and youth with fewer opportunities and possibly a low level of foreign language. Age: 18-30
We will look carefully into all of the applications taking into consideration the volunteer’s motivation letter and our project’s aims. We will also contact the applicants via email and phote with in order to get to know them better.

Tarefas: The EVS volunteers will be able to work in two areas: regular activities realised by the host organisation and individually developed independent activities.
Within the regular activities the EVS volunteers will have a chance to:
- organise free time activities for children in kindergardens (age 3-6) and primary schools (before-and-after school care, age 7-10), usually in the afternoons of the weekdays and/or Saturdays;
- participate in a winter and summer intercultural camp for children (age 6-14) along with the international team of volunteers;
- assist at the implementation of regular workshops for teenagers (age 15-19) and training courses for young adults (age 20 and above) within intercultural education, social skills, volunteering, nonformal education;
- assist at the organisation of intercultural meetings with interesting foreigners and travellers open for local community, once a month at the local library;
- help with the daily management of the organisation.
We encourage our EVS volunteers to design their own activities and to use the given space to practice developing and delivering personal ideas. Our team will provide all the essential support in terms of logistical preparation (finding a venue, arranging materials within the available budget), promotion (recruiting participants within the profile, cooperation with local media) and, if needed, the content. We will also arrange Polish young volunteers to help and assist in order to enhance the team work and international cooperation experience. The EVS volunteers are welcome to develop activities of their choice as long as they fit the mission and the aims of our organisation. Examples of independent activities the EVS volunteers could create:
- regular workshops for children or/and youth on a specific theme (chosen by the EVS volunteer): sport, dance, music, theatre, animation, art etc. (for example drama workshop for youth on Friday evenings or arts&crafts activity for kids on Saturday mornings);
- periodically evening animation for youth in local pubs for example theme parties (Finnish style party or English tea party), fancy dress party or traveller's club;
- intercultural meetings in the local library open for the whole community including creative presentation of different aspects of the volunteer's culture (food, music, politics, traditions, nature etc);
- events based on the interests of the EVS volunteer for example intercultural basketball championship, festival of board games or favourite movies night;
- environmental projects;
- activities in the nearby orphanage and center for disabled children.
All the ideas should be first discussed with the coordinator to check its feasibility but our organisation is very open for the creativity and innovation. The first month of the project (integration month) serves the purpose to let the EVS volunteer investigate the potential in the area for the particular activities of his/her interest. We want to promote the mutlicolor and diverse meaning of volunteering service and we invite the EVS volunteers to help us with this mission.
