Resumo: Environmental education aims to make citizens aware of their place in the so called ecosystem.
The project envisages the continuation of environmental education initiated by the organization in 1997, the transformation of an experience into a general educational system, with the possibility of expanding it in the rural schools area.
In the same time with the introduction of the non-formal educational activities at school level, the project aims to create the necessary framework for the training of the teachers needed by such a system of non-formal education.

In the first phase of the project we will elaborate a plan to introduce environmental education classes as extracurricular activities in the primary classes of two schools. Classes will be held as optional hours of non-formal education and be supported by EVS and the volunteers. Simultaneously there will be organized training courses for EVS volunteers, and teachers related to environmental education in schools. There will be held the following courses:
1. What is non-formal education - challenge or necessity.
2. Environmental Education - the education of the future.
During holidays the students participating in the program will receive practical training through activities as Summer School.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: -Developing environmental education related activities in 2 schools
- Realizing of environmental educaton related educational materials
- Planing and organizing the activities in the classes, together with others volunteers
- eveloping outdoor activities with the children
- organizing the summer school related activities during the summer
- organizing the group, group of the young environmentalists
