Resumo: The is a short term EVS project whose primary focus is to introduce and promote urban gardening in practice amongst children and youth and take part in organisation
of quality activities in Youth Club. We are seeking for 10 volunteers from 4
different European countries with some gardening experience and a lot of enthusiasm for getting their hands deep into garden soil, who will help us teach children and youth how to develop and maintain urban gardens and organise for them educational workshops
on related subjects. Urban gardens will be established in local school yards and on a
terrace in the centre of the city. The volunteers will have an important role in organisation of the urban festival, a festival and fund-raising event at the end the
school year.

The second part of the volunteering service will involve
promotion and organisation of activities within youth club which is designed as space where young people can learn more about themselves and discover their potentials through
personal development workshops and philosophical discussions, and spend a quality time participating in creative workshops, movie nights, healthy cooking workshops, intercultural exchange evenings and other events in accordance with their creativity and needs. The persons responsible for this project are experienced youth and garden workers, with skills in different areas, who will ensure that individual participants gain valuable knowledge, skills and experiences from this project and have a good intercultural immersion experience.

Perfil: highly motivated
• some experience in gardening and work with children or youth work
• age between 18 to 30

Tarefas: Activities planned:
- building and planting urban gardens with primary school children
- starting urban terrace garden in the city centre
- organising a festival and fund raising event
- workshops with children (urban gardening, ecolog y and sustainability)
- logistical supportt for organisation of events in Youth Club (movie nights, civic activism & personal
development workshops, vegetarian cooking classes,intercultural exchange)
- video workshops (addressing urban sustainability problems in short videos)
- promotion of EVS service opportunities among local youth
-helping with renovation and decoration of new Youth Club and office space
-updating organisations facebook and web pages and writing article
