Resumo: The framework of the European voluntary service it is based in the educational activities organized by our organization through non formal education methodologies about topics like social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and personal development. The EVS project will give a unique experience for the volunteers and for their personal and professional development. The project will be implemented in the of the city and will try to involve young people and adults from poor neighbourhoods. The target group of the project will be young people with drugs addiction, and unestructure families and strong educational and socioafective needs. The volunteer will live in a rented flat with the other volunteers of the project in that moment. This flat will be in one of the neighbourhoods mention before but it will not mean in any case that the volunteer is forced to live with the target group they work with.
Perfil: The level of committment of the volunteers is a very important factor for us that will contribute to the proper development of the project. We apreciate the sense of responsibility and the adaptation capacity of the volunteers in order to work with people with strong educational and socioafective needs.
We will also value as positive but without being excluding the capacity of the volunteer to adapt himself to a new culture and new customs as well as their capacity to work in multicultural enviroment. Last but not least, we will value as very positive the enthusiasm to participate in the propose actitivities.
The sending organizations that we will like to work with should have the proper mechanisms to council and guide their own sending volunteers so that they arrive to Spain with an adecuate level of information about the Programme and the tasks to be realized in the organization.
Age: 17-30
Tarefas: The activities that the volunteers will take part will be developt during their stay in the organization. The volunteers will help in the planification, elaboration, implementention and evaluation of the activities in accordance with their preferences.
The activities that the volunteers will do at international level will be:
1. Eventualy, logistic support in the training courses about personal development, human rights education, intercultural learning, learning to learn, coaching, professional supervision and social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities. This training courses will be organised every two month.
The activities that the volunteers will do at national level will be:
1. Colaboration in local workshops about:
A) Free time with children and social excluded youth.
B) Intergenerational dialogue.
C) Social inclusion of young offenders.
D) English lessons for children, young migrants and other youth with fewer opportunities.
E) Intercultural learning with children and young people.
F) Art-theraphy and creative writing for young people.
G) Digital photography and artistic expression.
H) Social theatre.
2.Eventualy, logistic support during the group EVS project in wich many EVS volunteers will implement activities like organic agriculture, recuperation of ecologic areas and social inclusion activities of young people in the prision of Campos del Rio.
3. Colaboration and logistic support during youth initiatives projects that the organization may implement.
4. Support in the website maitenance of the organization.
5. Spanish lessons for the EVS volunteers.
6. Linguistic exchanges of Spanish and English between local people from the city and EVS volunteers.
7. Participation in debates and presentations about Youth in Action Programme in secondary schools.
Distribution of hours of activities in percentajes:
The percentajes of hours of activities dedicated to the preparation and development of local workshops by the volunteers will be 43%.
The percentajes of hours of activities dedicated to the internal work of the associacion will be 17%
The percentajes of hours of activities dedicated to Spanish lessons will be 8%
The percentajes of hours of activities dedicated to inform about the Youth in Action Programme will be 14%
The percentajes of hours of activities dedicated to linguistic exchange will be 8%
The percentajes of hours of activities dedicated to mentoring will be 10%
In general, the hours of activities fixed to the volunteers is up to 32 hours a week.
Holidays seasons, resting time and distribution of the free time of the volunteers:
The volunteers will have a holidays period that will correspond to the Christmas time that will start on the 20th of December 2013 and will finish the 7th of January 2014. Besides the volunteers will enjoy the days off set in the official calendar of Spain.
The distribution of the free time will take into consideration the weekly programme of activities as stated in the table below. Fridays afternoon, Saturdays and Sundays will be totally free normally. Exceptionaly, volunteers will work in the weekend if there is any special activities in that time. In that case, the volunteers will get to days off the next week.
Training activities across the project:
-Intensive training on arrival of the volunteers about culture and Spanish customs.
-Linguistic training of 80 hours of Spanish language.
- Participation in the training cycle of EVS.
-Possibility of additional training through the courses organised by the organization or other organisation.
-Inherent training by the daily tasks of the volunteers in relation with the activities of the project.
