Resumo: The organizations focus on human rights and rights of young people in European context, based on European values and goals to improve youth mobility and professional growth of young people, using non formal education, voluntary activities and diversity. All the member organizations are alcohol-free, and consider alcohol a huge hinder for the development of society and for exercising human rights and equality. They are led and inspired by heart-driven volunteers that have the vision that the world should have more free spaces for young people to express themselves and more alcohol-free alternatives, where each individual can live to their full potential. Having this background, it is necessary to open new space for young people to express their concerns and to give them the skills to be able to shape them in a way that they can be used when communicating on political level and to raise awareness among their peers.

Perfil: not consume alcohol during the time they are a volunteer and that they would support the promotion of alcoholfree lifestyle during this time

Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The volunteers will have diverse tasks they could choose from, as well as space for developing in the fields of their interest. For example: in February 2015, the first education session for our volunteers will start, where we will be looking into the needs and realities of Children of Alcoholics. As a follow up activity to the education, the volunteers will get to brainstorm about a possible social media campaign and a palette of activities for our members that can be done during the Children of Alcoholics Week (an international week celebrated by a number of organizations worldwide). This activity will then end with a press release, which normally is a partnership between our organization and other organizations working with children’s rights. The volunteers will also get to brainstorm on which organizations they would like to include in the press release and think of ways how to approach them.

The work with the member organizations will take up a significant portion of the working hours of the volunteers. The member organizations are often composed of vulnerable young people, or cooperate with vulnerable groups. This is why the volunteers will have an important task – to think of activities that would bring education, capacity building and knowledge of EU processes to these groups.

Additionally to this, the volunteers will invest time into doing administrative and communication-related tasks. This means answering emails from members, doing reporting, learning to prepare project packages (with programme, presentations, participants lists and reimbursement forms) and noting down their best practices and ideas. The daily tasks also include researching for new opportunities for funding, doing press clipping, looking for new research materials and looking for new possibilities of partnerships and membership. Every month (in both years), the volunteers will be preparing and sending newsletters, and will do daily updating of the web site and social media profiles.

The volunteers will at least once per year take a active role in organizing international youth seminar, international yearly youth summer camp for member organizations and a biannual congress. These events will also be the environments where the volunteers will be creating safe activities for young people.

As a result of the work done in learning about social inclusion by doing, the volunteers will document their ideas in a publication on creating safe environments, which will be distributed to a variety of stakeholders.
