Resumo: The host organization is located in a medium-sized town which counts approximately 18,000 inhabitants, is situated in the heart of Slovenia, in a valley surrounded by numerous hills. The town used to be industrial, but since Slovenia had achieved independence some 20 years ago, its heavy industry (coalmining, cement industry and a power plant) is being restructured into other forms of economy.

Perfil: A young person, who doesn’t have prejudice working in an organisation for individuals with mental health problems. Person who is flexible, open-minded, has a self-motivation and is proactive. Who has highly developed cultural awareness and is socially responsible, who knows how to express himself/herself and is familiar with communication in a foreign language.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The volunteer will work in two organizations.
The volunteer’s tasks at the organization 1 will be to spend quality time with people who have problems in mental health. Volunteer will provide companionship and individual support, which is not included in the regular tasks of employees. Volunteer will participate in sport, cultural and creative activities which are performed daily and carried out a language course in his/her native language.
At the organization 2 volunteer will be part of the team together with other international volunteers, organising its own regular local events and activities for youth, helping us in organising bigger common projects such as festivals, international projects (youth exchanges, trainings etc.). The volunteer will also have a chance to develop its own idea into a project during the EVS.
