Resumo: The Foundation running under Eskişehir governorship leads projects aiming to balance the inequality in distribution of income, support the disadvantaged part of the society, strengthen the social solidarity between people and protect social peace. When these objectives are taken into consideration, it can be said that the general aim of our foundation is to lay a bridge between government and people who need help.

The foundation helps those who are experiencing problems with fuel, nutrition, treatment, education and other kinds of expenses. Families of war victims/veteran soldiers are visited at their homes and provided with moral and material support. In addition, our foundation supports the projects coming from civil society organizations, public bodies and people who want to establish a new business but are deprived of the necessary facilities. The foundation also provides opportunities for young people to take an active part in social and cultural projects and motivate for pursuing careers in the future.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: As the activity range of our Foundation is very broad and includes lots of social helping and development projects, the volunteers will be able to join activities according to their own interests and preferences.
The volunteers will receive a short pre-activity educational course and then be able to join our social workers in running the projects, initially as assistants, and then maybe on their own, depending on their progresses and preferences.
For the volunteers it will be a great chance to learn about the various peoples’ experiences and expand their cultural horizons, as they will visit many homes and see lots of different living situations.

They will acquire new skills in social work and share their experiences through working with elderly people, children, young students and activists and handicapped persons. Thus, the volunteers will feel useful and productive by helping people who are in need.
Apart from the projects directly organized by our foundation, volunteers may join and participate in any of extra activities, carried out by our partners. These include delivering of food packages, hot meals, and distribution of clothes, coal and other material goods.
Furthermore, volunteers are encouraged to launch their own projects and activities for our target groups. Possible projects could include such interactive activities as dancing, playing
instruments, singing, painting, taking photographs, doing sport. Volunteers can also give language lessons, do movie screenings, organize trips and do many other activities which are mutually valuable and rewarding.
We will be looking forward to welcome new ideas from our volunteers and will try to do our best in helping them to design and manage their projects.
