Resumo: The collectif is a sheltered workshop for mentally disabled people who work as professional artists. Currently there are 13 artists with mental disabilities performing arts. Rehearsals, acting exercises, and arts are part of their work. They perform street-, stageshows and workshops.
Working times are from 8.45 to 16.45 o'clock , from Monday to Friday. Two educators specialized in arts train with the 13 artists. The 13 mentally disabled artists arrive by bus. In the morning, 2 training/work-sessions take place, there is a lunch-break for one hour, and the staff takes lunch together with the artists. Besides of the training and performing arts, everybody is requested to assist and do house duties (dishwashing etc). There are also 1 or 2 training/working sessions during the afternoon.
On different days (2-10 times per month) there are excursions (art galleries, museum of art, performances, theatre) or shows to perform (street-show or theatre).

The local community where the project will take place:

The volunteer will be in the project 40 hrs per week. If the day is extended due to performances, "supplementary hours" will be compensated as soon as possible by spare time.
The sheltered workshop for disabled people is situated within 15 minutes distance from the city. There are regular public transport facilities.
The facilities are situated in a Villa composed by 2 rehearsal rooms, 2 changing rooms, 1 office, 2 storing rooms, 2 workrooms and 1 break/lunch room.

Accommodation:
We assure that the volunteer get's his own room to live and to spend his spare time. The EVS-volunteer will be hosted in a flat with other young people (other EVS an locals), having a big room for himself and sharing kitchen, bathroom, livingroom, garden together. It will be taken care that the travel from the living place to the working place is possible by public transport. The project has a bicycle that the volonteer can use during the stay.

Perfil: The profiles of volunteers we would like to receive in our organisation: - Motivation to work with people with mental disabilities - Sense of responsibility and social skills (good communication skills) - Interested in art and in particular performing arts - Autonomy and flexibility - Knowledge of at least one of the used languages in the Grand Duchy is an advantage for the communication with the target group - Educational competences are an advantage - Ability to complete projects, activities or ideas

Tarefas: 3The role of EVS volunteers in our organisation: - Assisting the educators in supervising people with disabilities
- Active participation in group life (13 artists with disabilities) and participation during the activities in the sheltered workshop: helping to dress, kitchen-activities, cleaning
- Participation in arts activities: warm-up, design and drawings, performing training, games, dance, circus techniques, discussions, readings, visit of museums and theatre performances etc.
- Developing activities, new projects or ideas: eg in the arts (drama, art happenings, representations in public place)
- Support for theatrical (stage, street) as a technician, actors, framing the public.
- Proposed activities depending on the skills of the volunteer: graphic, audiovisual, sports, arts, cooking, crafts) Proposed activities for EVS volunteers: Offer to volunteers in terms of service and learning opportunities,
- Working with mentally disabled people
- Participation in a group of artists
- Groupleading and organising educational activities
- Experience in different domains of performing arts and creativity
- Learning other languages - Participating in performances (if possible)
