Resumo: The purpose of the organization which was created in the year of 2000 is to achieve psychological, social and communal rehabilitation for the the people who are working or being worked in the streets, thrown away by their parents, and campaign against all the factors that could cause segregation and gain their social, economical and social needs. The Association organization has been performing the European Voluntary Service since 2005. Until this day, our organization brought many volunteers to our country and done works with them in their projects. These countries are programme countries or neighbor countries and almost volunteers from every country has taken part in the activities of the Association. Almost everyone of these volunteers goes back to their countries with happy and many beautiful memories. Also, after they leave we keep in contact with them and when they visit our country again they could use their old house (the house that was used during the EVS) as guests if it is not being used at that moment.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The volunteer will have the chance of working in either one or two projects maybe more if wished. In all projects the volunteers will be integrated into program, working alongside the staff and local volunteers. Their role will be to work alongside an allocated mentor during the various activities as outlined below. They will also have the opportunity to offer some cultural input into the program, maybe co-facilitating a few basic sessions in their own language.

Including an EVS element to this project is exciting, as we will be working with people who have had no contact with "life outside the city". We hope EVS will bring a cultural dimension to the project, which offers people, a small taste of what could lie outside their home-town. Volunteers will have the opportunity to develop themselves and also help to develop the project. The volunteers will also be able to engage in volunteering opportunities with other voluntary organizations in the area and enabling them to develop their skills and understanding and to experience a wide range of tasks whilst they are in Turkey. In general the activities will be varied, but mainly in a social or social work field, they will be able to negotiate with their mentor exactly what will be included in their weekly activities, after arrival and initial induction. There will be possibilities for volunteers to develop their own project, using skills and interests they have. The necessary elements about the fields (information) will be given to each volunteer by the professional staff such as how to work with a disabled person, a child, disadvantaged children and young people. Volunteers will be able attend the training relevant to the placements as well.

Tasks briefly can include these:
1. Social support
a. Accompanying children to various activities (i.e. swimming pool, cinema etc.)
b. Participating in several music and art classes
c. Playing games etc.
2. Practical support
a. Support for the staff where the activities take part
b. Support for the association to develop new projects
c. Taking place in the organization process of the new projects
3. Personal Support
a. Help children with their homework
b. Guiding children (sports, summer vacations etc.)
The volunteers will be assigned certain tasks and responsibilities according to their skills, motivations and the fields which they want to develop themselves. The percentage of task assignment will be as follows:
• 30% . Assistance for the functions in any sportcenter.
• 20% . Taking place in association Youth Activities due to Youth Program.
• 30% . Taking place in projects which are supported by the association (i.e. kids’ club or rehabilitation center or hospital for poor child, ).
• 20% . Taking place in Turkish or other program based educations

All activities will depend on volunteers' interests and also the need of host project. We hope that the Volunteers will receive a diverse range of experiences. Volunteers will be offered time off during the week or at the weekends as per the guidelines. There will be optional social and cultural events for all volunteers arranged by our volunteer coordinator. They will have a chance to investigate and visit places in Turkey. Moreover, The volunteers will attend Turkish classes. That will also be supported by private or group lessons given by the Turkish teachers, who are our volunteers. Although, initially the Volunteers time will be structured, they will be offered the opportunity to develop a project which is of particular interest to them, such as arts or cultural project, a language course or sports group. We will support the volunteer in developing this, but will allow them to take the lead in it, thereby improving their organizational and development skills. The rest of the Volunteers time on the project will be spent on structured project duties, similar to the rest of the staff team. This may include reception and administration tasks, group and individual work with the clients.
