Resumo: The host organization secretariat is located in the heart of the city in a shared building. The surrounding offers innumerable possibilities in terms of cafés, restaurants, cinemas, music places, sports facilities, formal and non-formal learning opportunities and also several international environments such as language schools, clubs, cafés, etc.
The office arrangement provides for a very international working environment. Permanent staff members are of different nationalities - from Denmark, the US, France, Brazil, Australia, Slovenia and Romania. Besides its permanent staff has a long term record in hosting volunteers of many different nationalities through the EVS programme and through their presence the office environment becomes even more international.
The host organization will provide adequate acommodation for the volunteers in a reasonable time distance from the office.

Perfil: The recruitment of volunteers will be done through an open call for applications which will be posted on the organization’s website and advertised extensively through the organization’s international network (member and partner organizations).
The organization will ensure a transparent selection process by specifying the selection criteria prior to the call for applications and specifying these criteria in the call. Final recruitment decisions will be made on the basis of these pre-established selection criteria. The selection criteria include:
• A keen interest in youth work at the European level
• Basic language skills, particulary in English
• An open mind and readiness to work in an international work environment, both in cross-cultural teams as well as individually
• Basic knowledge of IT
In terms of Sending Organizations, the host organization wishes to cooperate with organizations who are active in the field of sport for all, youth policies and youth activities and have a clear, distinct profile as youth organizations. We will also look for organizations with an interest and maybe previous experience with the European Commission’s Youth in Action programme, in particular the EVS programme. The host organization member organizations as well as the host organization partner organizations will be a natural first place to recruit volunteers from, but recruitment will not be done exclusively from these sources.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: Service that the host organization can offer in terms of learning opportunities
The host organization will help volunteers to get settled and make sure that they land on their feet in their new environment. This involves taking care of logistical arrangements, such as providing a place to live with basic furniture and equipment and providing access to local transportation. Lunch wil be provided for the volunteers in the office canteen and money will be provided for the rest of the meals (different to pocket money).
It also involves attending to the social needs of the volunteers, e.g. helping them with exploring opportunities such as language courses and/or other post-work activities in which the voluntees express interest. Finally it also involves introducing the volunteers to specific aspects of Danish culture: social norms, cultural events and national holidays.
The host organizationprovides opportunities for international project work. Working for the organization, the volunteers will acquire an in-depth knowledge of international project work and in particular all stages of the project cycle, from conceptualization and design of a project, through planning and implementation of project activities, to evaluation and extraction of lessons learned. The volunteers will also gain considerable insight into various funding programs for youth activities at the European level including the European Commission, Council of Europe etc. The competencies derived from this work are very valuable and much in demand in the current labour market.

Role of Volunteers
The volunteers will take part in all aspects of the organization’s work and will thus enter the organization on an equal footing with the organization’s permanent staff and will be integrated fully in all of the organization’s working activities. This involves being engaged in a broad array of work areas such as external and internal communication, designing and planning project activities, preparing and participating in various types of the organization meetings as well as ongoing administrative tasks in the office. Of these diverse work areas designing and planning project activities will be the most important work area for the volunteers. Volunteers will also have the option to design and implement a project of their own choice. The coordination of all these task will take place in close cooperation with the organization secretary general.

Proposed activities for volunteers
The general activities are dealing with the large framework of youth and sport, with the main focus on education and social inclusion through sport, international networking within sport volunteering as well as sport and environmental and sport and health issues. The working methods will be team work as well as individual tasks. The tasks of the volunteers include for example assistance in organizing meetings, investigating and assisting in initiating youth education programmes within sport. This includes communicating with the host organization youth network and co-operation partners, helping plan and taking part in meetings with the organization Youth Network plus travelling to relevant youth events in Europe. Finally, the volunteers will also be part of the daily routine at the office, helping out with suitable administrative tasks.

The volunteers will be involved in cross-national projects and deal with people of all nationalities in their work, seeing that organization has member organisations in more than 60 different countries. The intercultural dimension is inherent in the philosophy of the host organization and the office staffs itself also represents different nationalities. The volunteers are encouraged to put forward their own ideas to projects and there is always the opportunity for a volunteer to realize her/his project idea when in line with the organization philosophy and within the frames of available finances – and within the broad topic of “youth education through sport”.
