Resumo: The host Association is a non-profit organization established in 2001, which militates for the improvement and welfare of Roma people inside Romania. Our organization has the main target to create a workspace needed for meetings and trainings in order to cultivate civic awareness and to develop political and social active commitment of youth Roma.
The Association have over the 12 years of activity, over the years involved and experienced the participation of more than 100 volunteers, in different projects and targeted actions.

Perfil: Age: 17-30 years old

Tarefas: Environmental issues in relation with Roma community’s areas as: housing, access to public utilities, living in toxic environments, represent a strong challenge both for public policies and political motivation as also for Roma civil society all over the Europe. Therefore is very important to promote and develop projects focused on this issues and draw attention to environmental justice for Roma communities, as a form of fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, colour, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.

The aim of the project is to create a suitable environment for EVS volunteers to share positive personal experiences, ideas, opinions and trends with young people with fewer opportunities from rural communities in the spirit of mutual motivation to identify solutions to their problems and strengthen their personality in an intercultural context.
The project will be focused on non-formal education of EVS volunteers and preparation to support the local community to address and overcome environmental challenges, to raise the awareness among children and young people about environmental issues through environmental education.
