Resumo: Club “Rovesnik” is a part of the Center of After-School Development “Contact”, which is situated in the Central part of Minsk. It is created for training, educational workshops and leisure activities for children from the neighborhood. The main target group is especially children from poor, single parent families, or families that have more then 3 kids, also so called “difficult” children

Perfil: We are open to volunteers from 18-30 years of age from any country within Europe. We do not have any specific requirements on the level or field of education, however in order to communicate sufficiently with the volunteers we require a reasonable knowledge of English for the non-russian speaking applicants. Basic knowledge of Russian would be a benefit, but not necessary. We are looking for a person who is communicative and responsible, interested in contemporary art. He or she should be able to work on his/her own as well as in a team. For now we can offer only 3 months EVS project. Special needs: None.

Tarefas: Assisting the staff to look after the children (since they are approximately 9 per 1 teacher); • Organizing some simple activities for children during classes; • Help the children at their requests (at the art workshops); • Assisting the children during their trips to the city and outdoor activities; • Develop communication with the children, give them opportunity to try speaking English or the native language of the volunteer; • Organize some activities promoting intercultural exchange; • If the volunteer has any skills in art, theatre or music – he/she can try to organize own small workshops for kids; • Helping the children with the less opportunities to integrate.
