Resumo: (Education)
The Centre for social education is a Croatian non-governmental organisation founded in 1998. We work with young people and those who support them (NGOs, schools, institutions..), creating opportunities for learning, personal development and active participation in society.
Our work focuses on youth information, volunteering and youth and community work through non-formal education. We believe that every young person deserves opportunities to learn, grow and contribute to their community.
We value diversity, promote inclusion and encourage young people to become active members of society.

The Centre operates in 3 communities

Perfil: Age: 18-30

+ are empathetic, caring and open to working with people from different backgrounds;
are communicative, creative and open-minded;
+ are willing to take initiative and actively contribute to project activities;
+ are self-confident and ready to take on new challenges;
+ have an interest in working with young people and promoting inclusion;
+ have good English language skills to communicate with the team and local community.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE:
+ digital skills and an interest in using digital tools;
+ previous experience or skills in working with young people or in community work.

Tarefas: The project aims to promote inclusive volunteering and create more opportunities for people who face barriers to participate in community life.
Inclusion is at the part of everything we do. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate,
feel welcome and be valued, regardless of their background, personal circumstances or abilities.
In cooperation with local organisations and partners working with young people with fewer opportunities and people facing health-related challenges, the Centre will encourage active participation of youth/volunteers
in the local community, promote solidarity and help build connections between people from different backgrounds.
Through volunteering, we want to create a community where diversity is welcomed, people support one another and everyone has the opportunity to contribute in their own way.

1. INCLUSIVE WORKSHOPS
Prepare and lead creative and leisure activities for young people with fewer opportunities and young people facing health-related challenges. Activities may include art, music, dance, sports, language learning and creative workshops, adapted to participants’ interests, skills and abilities. Activities will be held in local primary school, as well as in local NGO’s.

2. COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERING & MINI-PROJECTS
Take part in inclusive volunteering activities that bring people together and promote solidarity, participation and connection within the local community.
Have an idea? Make it happen! Develop and lead your own mini-projects based on your interests, hobbies, skills and the needs of the local community, with the support of the Centre team. You can initiate creative, cultural, environmental or social activities that encourage inclusion, intercultural learning, connect people and make a positive difference.

3. DIGITAL CONTENT & YOUTH INFORMATION
Create digital content and information materials using digital tools such as Canva and video editing apps.
Help create and promote inclusion, mobility, learning, volunteering and other important topics for youth through interviews, video reports, social media, youth information materials and activities in local schools and the community.

Condições: + Volunteers will be accommodated in a flat suitable for 2 persons (with all covered utility costs);
+ The volunteer(s) will receive monthly allowance for food in amount of 250 Euro by the 5th of each month and be responsible for own cooking and preparation of meals.
+ Each month, the volunteer(s) will receive pocket money in amount set by European solidarity corps program guide to the standards of living in Croatia in amount of 10 euro per day by the 5th of each month. (app. 300 Euro per month).
+ Travel costs are covered according to European solidarity corps program. The purchase of tickets will be made in agreement between volunteer, Hosting and Sending organization.
+ We offer you our VOLBike or ticket for city (local) BUS transport
