Resumo: (Digital youth)

The Sports Center existed since 1974 and was run under different names till 2017.
The main aim of the Sports Center is to implement a common state and municipal sports development policy, and healthy lifestyle programs, promote employment and self-expression of children, youth, adults, and the disabled through sports, search for talented athletes, and train athletes who can adequately represent the Sports Center, the Municipality and the Republic of Lithuania at national and international events.
Besides it, under sport center operates an open youth space. The open youth space carries out open work with young people (14-29y.old.), providing them with social, pedagogical, and psychological services. It is a place for youth self-expression, creativity, projects, volunteering, and ideas.
Young people can use the premises and equipment free of charge; participate in various campaigns and celebrations. Main activities:
• sport and healthy lifestyle trainings for children youth, adults and seniors;
• exchange of good practices among teachers
• organization of marathons, sport events
• participation in matches
• promotion of sports and healthy lifestyle among education institutions in the district
• organization of seminars and conferences in the field of sports, healthy lifestyle, youth
• organization of socio-cultural, educational events, workshops, trainings for youth
• preparation of local and international projects and participation in it

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for a creative and motivated volunteer who wants to share ideas, create digital content, promote ESC and Erasmus+ opportunities, support language exchange, organize youth events, and bring new initiatives to life

Tarefas: As part of the activity programme, volunteers will engage in various tasks including weekly planning and evaluation meetings with mentors and tutors.
They will assist in preparing digital posters, flyers, and updating the website, blog, and social media.
Volunteers will participate in the Speaking Club, promoting language exchange among youth. They will also support networking by researching and applying for grants. Involvement in the YouTube Channel includes creating and editing digital content on topics like volunteering and youth work.
Volunteers will help manage digital platforms to raise awareness about ESC and Erasmus+ opportunities, organize live streams with youth sharing their experiences, write blog articles, and create visual content for dissemination.

Additionally, they will organize socializing events and have the opportunity to initiate personal projects while actively contributing to the hosting organization

Condições: Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared flat located in the center, just a few minutes’ walk from the youth center. The flat will be shared with other volunteers and includes a fully equipped kitchen, a shared bathroom, and common living spaces. The location offers easy access to local shops, public transport, and community facilities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient living environment during the project.
