Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit organization. It manages three community centers as well as two daycare centers. These community centers are places for living, sharing, and co-creating, where residents are key actors in local social development, supported by a team of professionals. Our centers are not social aid services or one-stop service providers. We prioritize collective action over individual support, promoting solidarity, human dignity, social inclusion, and democratic participation. Our doors are open to everyone, with the aim of fostering a better way of living together.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for someone curious, motivated and willing to engage with local communities on ecological and social topics. The volunteer should be open-minded, proactive, and eager to share ideas and practices from their own culture, while co-creating solutions with others. A strong interest in sustainability, community work, or European values is welcome. The ability to work both independently and in a team will be essential, as the volunteer will take part in collective actions and local events with various partners.

Tarefas: The volunteer will join local community centres and support activities that bring together social inclusion, environmental sustainability and healthy food. Working alongside local residents of all ages, they will help organise workshops, community events and awareness-raising activities on topics such as sustainable lifestyles, recycling and upcycling, urban gardening, healthy and affordable cooking, food waste reduction, and responsible consumption.
The volunteer will be encouraged to share ideas, traditions and sustainable practices from their own country while learning from the local community.
They will contribute to creating inclusive spaces where people can meet, exchange experiences and develop practical solutions for everyday environmental and social challenges.
The volunteer will also promote European values and mobility opportunities, take part in intercultural activities, and help strengthen community engagement through solidarity, participation and cooperation.

Condições: The volunteer will be selected for this mission. He/she will share a two-bedroom apartment located in the town center near shops and public transports. The volunteers will receive an allowance of 450€ for food, and pocket money. The organization will provide a bus card and a train card. They will also have free access to all the services (sports, cultural events, etc.).
