Resumo: (environment)
The hosting organization is a nongovernmental organization founded in 2013 to promote sustainable development of society through activities focused on children and youth.
Our vision is to create remodels of a sustainable society. Our mission is to encourage the holistic development of young people as builders of the sustainable future.
Since 2015 we have been receiving volunteers as accredited European Voluntary Service organization, and from 2015 we are active in European Solidarity Corps program and have a Quality Label. In 11 years we have received over 290 volunteers from 32 countries.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Our ideal candidate is highly motivated for participation in the project activities (see them listed under), can communicate in English, is eager to learn about or already has some experience in working
with children, gardening, DIY or craft work and organizing workshops.
In addition, experience with photography and video shooting/production and social media is a desirable addition.
During selection an advantage will be given to motivated participants facing fewer opportunities

Tarefas: Environmental protection
- Educate target groups about the topics connected to environmental issues and sustainable development;
- promote natural gardening as a way of learning about nature and connecting with it.

Participation in
- popularize local and international volunteering among target groups.

Training Activities
On-Arrival Mid-term training, task based trainings (working with children, garden tools, etc.)

Inclusion and diversity
- promote European values: multiculturalism, unity and diversity among target groups.

Digital transformation
- Facilitate the use of digital and virtual components in tasks performed by volunteers (e.g. online activities on Skype/Google Meet , video making, social media content creation etc.).

Office Activities:
Administration and organization; assisting with preparation for the ESC teams mobilities; visibility, promotion, and marketing.

Optional Activities
Personal project. All volunteers will have an opportunity to focus on the development of a personal project, that is not necessarily related to the topics mentioned above, but will contribute to their satisfaction and support their learning goals.

Condições: VEGAN- VEGETARIAN CHALLENGE
We encourage you to try the challenge and go vegetarian (or even vegan if you already are vegetarian) during your volunteering project to see what benefits it can bring you! Promoting vegan/vegetarian diet is important to us from two aspects - sustainability (reducing negative ecological footprint) and nonviolence (compassion and care for other beings). Therefore we invite all of our volunteers to take part in vegan or vegetarian challenge during their volunteering experience.

Costs
Costs of travel, accommodation, food, local transportation and activities will be covered by the hosting organization. The travel costs of participant will be covered up to the maximal travel cost per country according to ESC program
distance bands. Volunteer will receive monthly food and pocket money. Volunteer will be registered for HENNER health insurance provided by European Commission.

Accommodation
Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared apartment with separated bedroom, and shared bathroom, kitchen and other areas. It will be equipped with all necessary household utensils and a Wi-Fi Internet.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
Monthly transportation cards will be given to you, so you have unlimited free use of the city trams and buses in Zagreb.
