Resumo: The hosting organization is an organisation which organises several events every year (trainings, exchanges, etc.). Being a volunteer at and for the organization, you are becoming a part of the team of this organisation. This brings a specific attitude as well as specific duties that are there to be fulfilled. The general attitude respects the privacy of the clients and supports the goal of the specific program running.

The role of the team is to support the clients in creating a healthy environment for them in which their activity can take place. Respect and privacy are also there for your team members. Conflicts between team members are discussed in a respectful way and not in the presence of our clients.

All team members come from a big variation of cultural habits and backgrounds therefore misunderstanding and miscommunication can occur. Essential and important part of your volunteering placement is to learn how to work, live and learn in this international team and a Dutch foundation and its culture/context; where culture, habits, and values are or can be different than where you come from.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

open-minded, proactive, and self-driven individuals who:

+ Take Initiative: You don’t wait for step-by-step instructions - you like to brainstorm, bring ideas to life, and take ownership of your tasks.
+ Are Creative & Flexible: You enjoy working with different target groups (youth, local residents, vulnerable groups) and adapting to dynamic daily schedules.
+ Love Local & Rural Life: You are enthusiastic about living in a semi-rural environment and making a direct, visible impact in a smaller community.
+ Have an Open Mind: You welcome new experiences, enjoy working in a team, and want to learn about social work, community building, and animal care.
+ No specific background required: Passion, motivation, initiative, and a willingness to explore matter most to us!

Tarefas: Your working week (30–38 hours) balances structured social engagement with freedom of choice:

1 Day at Office: Hands-on work caring for animals, supporting site welfare.
1 Day at the VIP! School: Co-create, prepare, and facilitate inspiring, skill-sharing workshops for local volunteers.
1 Day at the Youth Centre: Run creative drop-in sessions, budget cooking, game nights, and youth activities.
2 Days of Tailored Community Action: Choose your focus across Sedna’s branches!

Condições: Travel (arrival + departure, calculated with the subsidy's distance calculator. Starting point is the address of your sending organisation, not your home address).
