Resumo: The project will be developed in a space for young people aged 14 to 25, offering a positive alternative to spending time on the streets.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for a motivated volunteer who will share her/his interest in our organisation helping young people with disability and young people that live a lot in the streets of the quarters, always next to the educators.

Tarefas: Volunteer will help professionals in activities to engage young people in meaningful experiences and connect with educational mentors who support relationships with families, peers, and the adult world. The volunteer will support the staff in the organisation of small study groups in which young people do their homework, search additional information and are helped to overcome barriers to learning The volunteer will also be asked to take part in organizing various workshops and atelier: art, music, theatre; each workshop could be an opportunity in which young people learn by doing and do in order to learn (e.g. corporal expression, the creation of objects, recycling, music and artistic activities).

Condições: In the same city and period we will coordinate 7 volunteers that will work in different organisations. They will work in a total of 32-35 hours a week and have two consecutive days off per week (usually Saturday and Sunday) and two day holidays per month to be used according to the volunteer’s needs but always to be agreed with the supervisor. They will live in a flat with other ESC volunteers and will have a single room. The volunteers will have a bicycle to move freely in the city and receive money for the food so they can buy what they prefer.
