Resumo: The hosting organization is located in the largest city in southeastern Poland, for an international volunteering project bringing together 2 people from different countries. Together, we will work on educational, creative, intercultural and organisational tasks within a small, family-like school community. The project is a chance to gain hands-on experience in working with children, communication and intercultural cooperation.

Democratic education means children learn what genuinely interests them, at their own pace, in a way that makes sense to them. There are no grades here, no bells, and no rigid division into lessons. Instead, you'll find trust, choice, and a community that makes decisions together.
Self-determination. Children create their own learning rather than receive it. They follow their curiosity.
No grading. We don't judge people or mistakes. We support the process, not the outcome. Our motto: "We support. We don't judge."
Democracy in practice. Shared rules and decisions come from community meetings, where every voice counts, adults and children alike.

Respect and diversity. Everyone is welcome exactly as they are. We build a safe space for different temperaments and ways of learning.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: You don't need previous experience working with children or a background in education. What matters most is openness, initiative, and a willingness to share your culture, your passions, and your ideas. Day to day, your involvement might include:

+ joining children in their daily activities and play taking the first step to connect with children, often proposing
+ a game or starting a conversation, and patiently building the relationship
+ co-leading workshops based on your own interests: language, music, art, sport, cooking, games, photography, film
+ bringing an intercultural element: stories about your country, your language, your traditions, your food
+ supporting the team with events, outings, and community projects
+ helping create content: photos, short videos, and material for social media that documents life at the school

Activities don't follow a fixed curriculum. We build them around your strengths and the children's ideas. The first few days bring a gentle introduction: getting to know the place, the team, the community's rules, and planning together what you'd like to

Horário: Daily rhythm. Mornings bring a calm start to the day and shared activities. The main workshops and lessons run roughly from 10:00 to 12:30. Early afternoon, around 13:00 to 14:00, brings further learning activities for both older and younger children.
We close the day with a circle, around 14:00 to 14:30, an important moment for conversation, connection, and reflecting on the day together.

Condições: Accommodation is provided free of charge in a two-bedroom or three- bedroom flat, located in the very centre. Three to six volunteers live in the apartment in total, sharing rooms with a person of the same gender. The flats includes a shared kitchen, one bathroom, and a small balcony, and is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the office.

Volunteers receive EUR 12 per day to cover food and pocket money expenses, paid monthly in advance (approximately EUR 360 per month, depending on the length of the month). In addition, travel costs are reimbursed in line with the rules and distance limits of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme, with reimbursement processed within two weeks after the end of the project.

The project budget also includes a small housing deposit, which is paid out at the end of the project, provided that the apartment is kept clean throughout the stay and left clean, undamaged, and ready for the arrival of the next volunteers.
