Resumo: (environment, permaculture)
The organization will be carrying out a large-scale eco-construction project to create what we call our Forest Village. This will consist in a series of small ecological huts in the forest forming a little village, which will be a real living example of how to live in closer contact with nature.

This project will be quite process-oriented, with a high emphasis on experimentation with different natural-building techniques, with an exploration of the ways in which we can reuse and recycle materials to minimize the impact on the environment. Educational outreach will be a big part of the project, with a participatory and educational building process to make knowledge accessible and replicable.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

- community living

Tarefas: Volunteers will learn about eco-construction, permaculture, and sustainability, all while living in an international community. You will live, learn, and grow alongside around 50 people, sharing meals, a free daily activities program, and the joy of creating something together.

The volunteer experience is supported by a weekly program of activities such as dance, yoga, singing, meditation, reading groups, movie nights, and a whole variety of practices that provide daily opportunities for exploring ways of meeting oneself in an authentic and meaningful way. The program is put together by the community, so you are most welcome to bring your ideas & gifts and to share your enthusiasm in your area of interest!

Horário: As an ESC volunteer, we expect a 35-hour per week commitment from you. You will be supporting Ängsbacka with practical work 5 days per week, 5 hours per day. You will also join the morning circles, community circles, sharings and silent sittings, which are our main community practices. The ESC additionally offers ESC meetings and learning circles. All these activities will make up a total of around 35 hours per week at maximum.

Every week you will have 2 days off. You will also have 2 days holidays for every month, which makes a total of 3 holiday days for 6 weeks of service.

Condições: ACCOMMODATION
You will live in dorms (bunk beds) with communal showers and toilets. You cannot bring your dog or cat to live with you.

FOOD
Our kitchen serves delicious vegetarian and vegan meals 3 times a day. You have access to tea and coffee, and sometimes fruits or snacks. There is also a separate community kitchen if you want to prepare something special for yourself.

ALCOHOL-FREE & DRUG-FREE
The organziation is best experienced in full presence and therefore we are a completely alcohol- and drug-free environment. If you are found under the influence we will ask you to
leave immediately.
