Resumo: (Recreation Of The Civil War)
The hosting organization is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization inscribed in the Spanish National Associations Register since 1998. It is located in a rural area near the city. The main activity of the organization is to organize local and international volunteering activities, specially workcamps. With its formal headquarters in the northern mountain range of the Madrid region, the organization has moved its activities in that area but also in other areas of Spain far from the big cities where it has been able to carry out its own rural development actions in collaboration with the associative social fabric and the support of the local administration.

Administrative delegations have been created in recent years in Asturias, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Navarra, and the Valencian Community, registered in accordance with the legislation in the National Registry of Associations that serve as a local reference and where we work with young people from those areas developing local projects of international and especially European mobility.
We also have been very active in the organization of Youth Exchanges and seminars on the frame of EU Programs, sending and receiving ESC volunteers (previously EVS) for many years. The hosting organization has also a legal department working on legal environmental advising and arbitration of NGOs. Mixing both types of activities allows us to provide social and educational benefits as well as publicize the legal work we do in courts and other settings.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for open-minded, flexible, and adaptable volunteers who are ready to immerse themselves in a unique rural and historical experience.

Since this is a hands-on project with basic living conditions, participants should be proactive, enthusiastic about teamwork, and comfortable with physical, outdoor work. A positive attitude toward community living, sharing daily chores (like cooking and cleaning), and adapting to changing schedules is essential. No previous experience in historical re-enactment is required—just respect for history, eagerness to learn, and a great team spirit!

Tarefas: Every September, we travel back to the Spanish Civil War during the Candamo 36-37 Re-enactment Days, bringing history alive through rigorous civil and military recreations in a beautiful rural environment. It is an entertaining, educational event that explains a key part of 20th-century history.

As a volunteer, you won't be acting, but you will be the backbone of the festival! This is a demanding, physical, hands-on setup and logistics project.

Your main tasks will include:
- Preparing the settings (including heavy work like filling sawdust sacks).
- Simulating props and assembling immersive scenes alongside the crew.
- Managing crowds and supporting local logistics during public events.
- Assisting behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Condições: Accommodation: You will stay in a basic, rural multipurpose house. Sleeping arrangement consists of a large shared room with mattresses on the floor. Please bring a summer sleeping bag, lower sheets, and a pillow.

Food & House Order: All meals are provided by us! Ingredients will be bought from local markets, and volunteers will cook and clean in daily teams. Special diets can be adapted in advance.

Transport: Travel costs will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ standards. We will help you coordinate your arrival and local transport to the venue.
