Resumo: The hosting organization was originally born in 1978 as an Environmental Defense Committee and joined a part of Legambiente in 1988, a non-profit environmental association that has over 370 local clubs, 20 regional committees and about 115,000 members.

The organization sets its activity on solid scientific foundations which have guaranteed authority and credibility over time also by the institutions both at local and national level. Legambiente Onlus is also an association recognized by the Ministry of the Environment as an Environmental Interest Association; it is part of the European Environment Bureau (B.E.E.) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Finally, since 1997 it has been a member of the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organizations, an international NGO organization that groups together the major European associations that intend to promote intercultural, integrated education and rhythm through volunteering.

The group's main commitment is to work to still maintain sustainable life in balance with the environment, of which man is an integrated part. In 2013, the group decided to embark on a new adventure with the Hostel, a semi-abandoned structure inserted within the Hermitage of the Regional Park (LC).

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- Comfortable living in an isolated, far from the city, natural environment
- Interested in environmental education and sustainability
- Enjoys hiking, trekking, or walking in nature
- Enjoys meeting people, live in the community, and engage with park visitors
- Able to manage varied tasks
- Willing to share space and meals with a small team
- Open-minded, peaceful, and respectful
- Fine with a vegetarian/vegan diet
- Intermediate English and eager to learn Italian.

Tarefas: - assist in hostel maintenance (indoor and outdoor) and logistics;
- check-in of the guests and administrative tasks;
- room preparation and cleaning;
- recycling and upcycling of materials for hostel use and decoration;
- provide guests with information like hiking paths and local area;
- assist in workshops for primary school students: facilitation and group management;
- design and implement didactic workshops on art, environment education, creative recycling;
- support in communication (social media, etc).

Condições: The organization will provide an apartment inside the hostel, shared with volunteers.

The volunteers will live in a DOUBLE room.
