Resumo: (Supporting the Eco Fest)

The hosting organization is a no-profit organisation founded in 2001 with the following aims:
- to promote human and civil rights, with particular attention to the right to information and participation of young people;
- to protect social interest, with particular attention to students and young people;
- to promote active citizenship, in particular among disadvantaged young people and at risk of social exclusion, and promote youth empowerment;
- to promote local and international volunteering as a tool for non-formal education, active participation and social inclusion. The association pursues the mentioned purposes through two main fields of action.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Volunteers should like the idea of living in a small town and experiencing collective life in nature. Volunteers should enjoy working in a rural community and participating in cultural and social events. Interest in manual work, event organisation, and teamwork is recommended.

Tarefas:
Volunteers will take part in supporting the construction and setup of the festival area, one of the two main objectives of the Eco project.
Tasks will include site setup, kitchen and bar support, workshop and market areas, wellness area creation, parking and logistics management, infopoint, audio-visual technical support, and forest maintenance. Volunteers will be divided into groups on site, guided by activity leaders.

Activities will take place in the morning and afternoon, with breaks agreed collectively. The second objective is the co-creation of a community. Each day, recreational activities such as games, sports, and nature walks will be organized. Volunteers will be encouraged to propose activities to the group, fostering shared participation and actively contributing to community life.

Condições: Volunteers will live surrounded by nature, in the woods. The area includes a chalet with indoor and outdoor kitchen, an upstairs sleeping space and a bathroom with a shower, as well as a stone and wood house with shared facilities (3 bathrooms and 4 showers).
Accommodation is mainly in tents, as this is a camping-based experience, while a few chalet beds are reserved for special needs. Grocery shopping will be provided and meals will be prepared together on a rotation basis and will be mainly vegan.
