Resumo: (teams volunteering project)
The Hosting organization is a non-profit association that has been founded by a group of creative and hardworking young people, passionate about education, human rights and European values.
Our main goal is to invest in the personal and professional development of young people and to promote quality education, solidarity and international spirit.
According to our mission statement, the organization is the Open Gate towards the World, the nest where we cultivate knowledgeable students working hand in hand with both public & private institutions active in the field of education, culture, youth, social inclusion.

According to our bylaws, the organization also supports the pro-active participation of children, young people and citizens in community life, as well as the values of an open, tolerant, diverse & multicultural society. Through implementing our educational activities, the organization invests in the younger generation, so that youngsters could benefit from a set of healthy prerequisites for succeeding in any field they choose and anywhere their future would lead them around the world.
Besides foreign language courses, highly appreciated by beneficiaries, kids, youngsters, parents & independent institutions, the organization organises workshops to promote European cultures and values, environment friendly activities, anti-drugs and healthy life style campaigns.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Volunteers need to be interested in learning & personal development, enjoy working with kids & youth, be open & tolerant to other cultures. Flexibility is required, as they'll work in a multicultural environment in an international team. Being responsible, positive, energetic, communicative & a basic level of English is desirable to ease communication during project activities & within the international project team of staff & volunteers.

Tarefas: Activities focused on topics: eradication of poverty, integration of ethnic minorities, access to health, education & social services, equal opportunities, civic engagement, respect, diversity and common goals, economic freedom, the prevention of unemployment & awareness concerning discrimination of all types, but also events to raise awareness in local communities.

The volunteer’s main role is to assist in extra-curricular and non-formal educational activities, coordinate indoor and outdoor activities, online and presential, through non-formal educational programs for kids and youth, typical and underprivileged, from 33 urban and rural environments, within various events, with AIST & local partners. Also they will be actively involved in designing & implementing activities of social inclusion through non-formal educational methods.

Condições: Accommodation: volunteers will be hosted in safe & central lodging, 2 in a room, with all facilities & utilities included & functional; the organization pays bills for utilities.
