Resumo: (teams volunteering project)
The coordinating organization is a non-profit organization offering remarkable experiences, personal development and meaningful spending of leisure time for young people, through international voluntary activities and non-formal education.
Our vision is to have active people with healthy self-confidence, tolerance, critical thinking, general overview and willingness to help those in need.
In Slovakia, we are the only organization of its kind, established in 1993. Our activities are for young people, leaders, youth workers, volunteers and also the general public.
The main target group is young people from 15 up to 30. The activities are focused on the youth mobility and non-formal education. Main aim of volunteering activities is to provide help to the local community or to any project necessary (social, environmental, renovation, cultural etc.). Young volunteers can spend their time valuably, can meet other people coming from different cultures, learn from each other, gain new competences and enjoy their lives differently.

Perfil: Young person from EU member country, age 18 to 30 who want to take part in an intercultural project in Slovakia. Personal motivation to step out of the comfort zone and become a volunteer for 2 weeks. Speak good English.

Tarefas: Volunteers will be helping with revitalizing the old ruins of the small Castle in eastern part of Slovakia. The Castle was a medieval castle. Nowadays there are only ruins left underground. Be aware that you will not be able to see the castle. The town is trying to preserve cultural heritage.
The goal of the camp will be to explore the foundations of the castle tower, which are located below the surface. The work will be part of the archeological research.
The volunteers will also be involved in renovation work, cleaning the area, transport of the material (like sand, rocks, and water). No building and archeological experience are needed.

Condições: The volunteers will sleep in the local town house. There are 2 bedrooms with beds but a sleeping bag is required. Showers, toilet facilities and fully equipped kitchen are provided in the house.
Volunteers divided in the kitchen teams will be in charge of preparing the food for breakfast and dinner, the groceries will be provided.
The lunch will be provided by local partner. On request, vegetarian meals can be provided.
