Volunteers work as members of the organization, but regular paid staff members are always ultimately in charge of actions, and the volunteers cannot replace paid staff.

Horário: Working hours: Volunteers work mainly 5 days/week from Monday to Friday, but there can be also work during weekend and free days during week. Work days last normally 5-8 hours but there can be sometimes shorter and longer days as well because of the different seasons. During high-season (e.g. autumn camp schools, beginning of winter, and mid-winter season) working days might be longer and less free days during week. And during less busy low-season working
days can be shorter and more free days during the week. So working hours are compensated between high- and low-seasons.

Condições: Accommodation: in hostel-like apartment with a private bedroom, shared living room, showers, toilet, and well-equipped kitchen in the youth center yard. There can be occasionally a need to share your bedroom with other volunteer. Towel
and bedlinen are provided, and there is laundry machine in youth center. Sauna is available in a different building.

Food: Volunteers can have ready-served meals in the youth center dining room when there are customer groups in the youth center that have meals included.
For those days when ready meals are not served, volunteers cook by themselves in the apartment and shop groceries from the village. Monthly food money amount of 125€ is provided for groceries.

Youth Center is located in the middle of nowhere, and surrounded by beautiful nature; big
lake, forest, hills, and wilderness. Nearest village is 10km away, and there is no public transportation. At free time it's possible to cycle to village, and approximately once a week staff will give a ride to village to shop groceries.

Weather conditions in the North are quite extreme, especially in wintertime. And you need a survivor attitude to deal with our long winter. ;) For sure you will see Auroras, reindeers, and a lot of snow.
