Resumo: (Volunteer for language and intercultural learning)
The hosting organization is a social cooperative dealing with everything related to the world of languages: travel, interpreting, tour guides, school trips on historical/artistic themes, language courses, translations...It promotes sustainable tourism through a youth hostel in the historical town. The ESC volunteers will help with the management of the hostel, teaching foreign languages and with social development activities.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

THE IDEAL VOLUNTEER
- is open-minded towards different cultures and ways of life
- is willing to learn and try new things
- can communicate in English

Will be positively evaluated:
- basic knowledge of Italian
- driving licence
- previous experience in teaching

Tarefas: - Supporting groups visiting hostel, coming from schools and local organizations. The volunteers will accompany and support the group in case of need, and they will also help in planning the excursion, promoting the trip and being in touch with the participants.

- Support for language courses: volunteers will help the staff in planning and holding language courses. This will be the most intense activity.

- Helping with other project project, implemented together with other organizations. The project wants to support vulnerable women in difficult situations, hosted by two shelters.
The hosting organization is hosting workshops and language courses for them in order to support their path towards a better integration, autonomy and financial independence.

Helping with Costruttori di Futuro project, aiming to fight minors’ educational poverty, with particular attention to the most vulnerable ones. The activities include workshops about interculturality, environment protection, creative writing, technology, theatre and music, foreign language theatre…
The volunteers will support the teachers and educators during the workshops for teens between 13 and 17 years old.

- Support during trips and cultural tours during summer: the cooperative is organizing during summer cultural and study visits in Italy and sometimes abroad (especially in Germanspeaking regions and countries) during which the participants not only get to visit interesting places but also take part in english and german courses through the cooperative learning method. The volunteers will:
- help in managing the groups during the trip
- help in planning the trip

- Supporting daily activities at the hostel: the volunteers will support the staff in the daily management of the hostel, in particular with:
- welcoming visitors and groups
- managing bookings
- keeping contact with schools, groups and associations interested in staying at the hostel and with local partners who want to book the space for events
- maintanance and cleaning of the space

- Support with communication and promotion activites. Volunteers will:
- create content for the website and social media
- write articles and create videos/photos of their experience as ESC volunteers
- do video and photo coverage of events, trips and tours
- take part in events open to the local community to share with young people their experience of volunteering
