Resumo: The hub is the meeting place for youths within the Unit for Labour and Integration. It can be compared to a factory where ideas are created for youths between 16-30 years where focus is on entrepreneurship. The hub is there for youths who want to start their own project and the purpose is to give the youths support and help with contacts or different tools/ material needed in order to fulfil the project.

The hub also has group of youths who are without any employment who meets once a week. These are youths that are far away from the labour market and are on some kind of social aid support. These youths are also struggling with mental illnesses in one way or another and the hub will be there for them as a tool for not only keeping track on the youths but will also create a meaningful living for this marginalised group.

This is a group of youths which is very hard to reach and hopefully the hub and the EVS project together can catch their interest and get them to come to the office. Traineeships and contacts with different government organisations are also to some extent managed through the hub. The hub is cooperating with the project workplace Åmål and will have two newly arrived young females from Syria at the office during the same time as the volunteers doing their own projects and helping out.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: Young innovation
The volunteers based at the hub will get the possibility to have their own projects if they want to. The main tasks for the volunteers will be to support and help the youths to start up their own projects, with all that’s in it. They will also help out having the office open, inform about the activities of the hub at different schools, answer emails and book meetings with different work coordinators. Other tasks of the volunteer will be help the youths to search for work or apply for studies, inspire and motivate. Hopefully the youths at the hub will be inspired by the volunteers wanting to go on their own adventures as EVS volunteers in the future.

Workplace 2
The volunteers will here help out with registration of new participants and sit beside the work coordinators on interviews when trying to match their newly arrived working experiences/ university degree etc. with a traineeship or job. Here the volunteers will be an important asset for the organisation in disseminating the European spirit and the common basic values of the society; they will help out to promote diversity just by being a part of the project.

Unaccompanied minors unit
The volunteer will work a maximum of 15 hours per week at the Unaccompanied Minors Unit, helping out with activities such as homework, recreational activities and cooking. There is also room for creating activities with focus on art and photos and the hubs office space can be used as a meeting point and is available for activities.
