Resumo: The organization is non-profitable organisation based in Greece. Our main activity is to practise traditional Greek shadow puppet theatre. We endeavor for its re-establishment and promotion as a valuable art form. In collaboration with schools, NGOs and municipalities we reach mainly children and youth. We deliver performances, seminars and workshops on puppeteering and theatre in Northern Greece and abroad.

We take part in local community and through interactive performances we rise awarness and educate children on several topics such as ecology, safety and health, emotions, antidiscrimination,...
We believe that enjoying and making art at any age brings people together and makes understanding and learning better.

Perfil: The participant / volunteer will be part of the team, help prepare the performance with the crafts, creations, make survey for local social needs, communicate with locals, be part of non-formal education in schools we visit, meet teachers share ideas, see all the backstage of an artistic event.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: The project is an attempt to destabilise this collective imaginary belief of national identity and bring to light the 'fluid' state of what we call our cultural inheritage. We will address this with meetings and exchanges of performative practises between people from different cultural backgrounds.

These meetings and exchanges hopefully will lead the participants to conceptualise and understand the relativity of the human beliefs and cultural concepts.

The link to the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme is that addressing the fundamental ideas of how someone identifies himself/herself in the custom narration of his/her cultural environment leads towards critical thinking on basic concepts, intercultural dialogue, tolerance and respect of human rights.
