Resumo: The project comes into the context of having is home to many disadvantaged youth that have very few opportunities, low awareness about life long learning and overall poor chances at improving their lives. One of the main reasons is the poor economical situation of their families (fammilies that live of the minimum income or by what they produce by subsistence agriculture).
Project Objective- Contribute to the activation of the community youth club by supporting the aggregation of youth into communities of interests.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: In terms of concrete activities the volunteers will implement activities that will suit their desires for personal and professional development, which revolve around creating, activating and maintaining 4 communities of interests formed based on shared interests in theatre, sports, foreign languages and arts&crafts and other supporting activities that rise skills required for a propper community of interest to be sustainable such as spirit of associativity, active citizenship.

Thus the volunters will organize, using non-formal methods and animation techniques the following:
- Foreign languages workshops;
- Intercultural activities (Traditional dances, Theatre plays, painting, drawing, handicraft, etc);
- Thematic workshops (Human rights, environment protection, gender equality, European active citizenship, participatory democracy etc);
- Theatre workshops
- Training and workshops European active citizenship

The activities will be done inside the schools after the formal classes and/or within the local culture house with designated teachers as professional support
Additionally the volunteers will be involved in:
- Activating local action groups and assisting local youth in taking the initiative to put in practice their ideas
- Actively involved in developing and running activities that encourage cooperation between local and international actors (ngo`s, local authorities etc) such as round-tables, debates, panel discussions etc.
- Network local actors and support the implementation of joint activities that require a tighter collaboration between local actors
- Empower youth in taking part in the development of local youth policies by increasing their knowledge about the subject as well as increasing the awareness of local authorities on the importance of the issue.
