Resumo: The host organization is a historical center for shipbuilding. On the yard, as much as possible, we work according to the authentic and traditional construction methods from the 17th century, as well as research shipbuilding techniques specific for that time. The building of historical ships attracted much attention of visitors from the beginning, so the yard became a tourist attraction. In addition, the Yard has became a learning and working experience project for young people and for re-integration of the people. The organization is a private, non-profit foundation which can be characterized as a combination of tourist business, centre for business training, centre for knowledge and volunteer organization.

Perfil: Age:17-30
Creative and self-motivated people interested in traditional shipbuilding, craftmanship & handwork
Experience in graphic design softwares like Adobe Premiere, Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
Technical background & knoweledge in Solid works, AutoCad, etc.

Tarefas: Rebuild some parts of the ship mast, yards, forge, traditional ship building.
or/and
Create technical drawings for the workshops, improve the 3D digital model,
Technical background with knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCad and similar design software or experienced in graphic, digital and multimedia design (Adobe Premiere, InDesign, etc).

Also creative, self-motivated and interested in shipbuilding and handwork.

The organization is a dockyard with special ambitions. Ships from the golden century age, which have been important in our maritime history.
Our organisation is depending on the work of volunteers for some years already. A lot of foreign volunteers helped to build the ship and still helping for the construction of “Het water schip”. The proejct could not exist without the help of numerous volunteers which help in showing everybody the way of building ships in the 17th century.

Condições: - you will share a flat with other volunteers (shared room)
- you will have a bike
- you work from Monday to Friday from 8:30 till 16:15
- you will get pocket and food money for a total of 285,00 per month
-The trips to Holland and back are covered (please keep the recipes)
-All the house bills are paid for. Inclusive wifi
-A discount card for public transport
-At 12 a clock you get a meal at the yard.
-Dutch lessons.
-Insurance arranged by Youth in Action (YIA)
- We will make an activity agreement (AA) and you will have to sign it (when it’s ready we will contact you).
