Resumo: The coordinating organization is a non-governmental organization with the main objective to promote community development and social economy at local and regional level. The organization works to empower young people to participate actively in society to improve their own lives.

Perfil: - Aged between 18 to 30 years
- active, open-minded, creative, innovative, responsible and motivated volunteers
- The volunteers who apply for this project need to like and be willing to work with youth for 6 months.
- The volunteers of this project should, above all else, show willingness to learn and see their EVS experience as a learning process.
- Basic level of English (being able to make herself/himself understood by the others – able to communicate).

Tarefas: the volunteers will be engaged in organizing the youth into groups based on their interest in 3 topics: sports, culture and active citizenship. The activities in this period will be organized in the schools after the normal school hours have finished. The types of activities organized in each theme:
- Sports: forming and training, 4 football teams, 2 handball teams and 1 chess club, organizing sport competitions(2 football tournaments, 2 chess tournaments, 1 handball competition), teambuilding exercices
- Culture: 1 theatre group(1 theatre public play organised during the project), cultural presentations of the volunteers cultures, language lessons of the volunteers languages and English, music and painting workshops, traditional dances, handicrafts workshops, writing workshops, creativity development workshops, debates about multiculturalism, values, tolerance,
- Active citizenship – presentations on active citizenship, social structure etc.; debates about rights and responsibilities, EU, values in society; public hearings on local problems with the APL, workshops on designing grassroots solutions to social problems in Bailesti, non-formal games such as roleplays, small scale simulation games of EU parliament; empower youth in taking part in the development of local youth policies by increasing their knowledge about the subject as well as increasing the awareness of local authorities on the importance of the issue.
These activities will be organized in the schools in the period May-June after formal classes are over, when the summer vacation starts the activities will be hosted in the Culture House. The sport activities will still be organized in the schools gyms and sport fields which will remain open for us.

Horário: working hours are flexible and adapted to the schedule of the target institutions and is usually 3-4 hours/day in with the youngsters and 1-2 hours/day for preparing the activities.
Each volunteer is entitled to receiving 2 free days/week (typically weekends but in case that an activity requires work on the weekend the volunteer will be free in the next days) and a total of 12 days of vacation in the project that you can use as you want.
