Resumo: The host organization is a nongovernmental organization founded in 2013. It was founded to promote sustainable development of society through activities focused on children and youth. The personnel responsible for this project are experienced youth workers, with skills in different areas, who will ensure that the individual participants gain valuable knowledge, skills and experiences from the project and have good intercultural immersion experience.

Perfil: • aged between 18 to 30 and have not participated in an EVS,
• have some experience in work youth work and interest in sustainability,
• are eager to broaden their cultural horizons and comfort zones,
• are willing to work outside and participate in outdoor activities.

Tarefas: The main focus of the voluntary service will be the organization of two events:

The first is a one month long challenge aimed at actively encouraging sustainability among local youth. volunteers´ tasks will be to assemble a list of possible individual efforts and commitments from which participants in the challenge will latter choose an individualised list to pledge over a period of the challenge in order to became more sustainable. The volunteers will actively promote this challange within the local community through local outdoor actions and via social media.

The second is a three days event organised in the local community target at young people, teachers, decision makers and NGO workers. Volunteers will take part in organising, promoting and hosting the event, giving their individual contribution through personal project. The focus over 3 themed days will be on different important aspects of sustainability: socially responsible entrepreneurship, environmental protection and personal development through holistic approach.

Condições: Food provided will be vegetarian as promoting vegetarianism is important to us from two aspects – sustainability and nonviolence.
To make this vegetarian experiment in sustainability (reducing negative ecological footprint) and nonviolence (compassion and care for other beings) easier we will have on our crew an experienced vegetarian cook who will prepare during week days tasty vegeterian lunches, while for breakfasts/dinners and meals over weekend you will be responsible your self.
