Resumo: The volunteers will learn about the specifics of the local ethnic culture of the Bulgarians. They will learn a lot about the history and development of the region, will obtain practical skills related to local crafts such as carpet weaving, basketry, pottery, etc. In addition, they will acquire knowledge about the rural life like breeding of plants and animals, methods for preparing food, collecting and processing of herbs, repair of small appliances.
Additionally, they will have the opportunity to familiarize with the elements of the festival’s rituals associated with the local celebrating family and community calendar. Through personal communication with the local population, describing and filming their impressions, the volunteers will create a their own interpretation and opinion of the current situation in the Bulgarian village.

- Young people interested in the field of cultural heritage, the desire to stimulate creativity and active social inclusion at European level;
- Young people in disadvantaged social and economic difficulties is a priority for us;
- Willingness to work in a team and self-improvement;
- Have the desire, motivation and enthusiasm for involvement in volunteering, acquire new knowledge and intercultural dialogue.
- Have a real desire and capacity to act as multipliers of learning and to distribute it among their colleagues at local and national level;
- Have limited access to quality and modern professional information and fewer opportunities for postgraduate education and training.
- Motivated to take an active part in all the stages of the project activities

Tarefas: will allow the 12 volunteers from Europe to learn about the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria, will participate in the organization of various activities and events, including conducting the second edition of the Ethno Festival, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism and UNESCO, whose main objective is the preservation and promotion of Bulgarian traditions, crafts and cultural heritage.
