Resumo: The host organization is a non – governmental organization, which was founded in 2007 in need of young people in our community. The purpose of the association is to promote and develop youth activities with and for young people, in order to sustain their personal and professional development, and gaining skills in fields such as culture, education, volunteering, civic spirit, social, entrepreneurship and sport. Over the years, the association has developed smoothly, having 94 permanent members and over 1500 volunteers, with a solid material base (conference room, IT and audio- video equipment, website and multiple network channels) having constant essential financial resources for an efficient implementation of projects and activities, and qualified staff (youth workers, lectors, facilitators and trainers).Starting with 2009, the association has constantly implemented international youth projects, founded by the European Commission, through Youth in Action programme, having 8 coordinated projects and over 30 other projects where we participated as promoters.

The EVS proposal started by identifying the lack of awareness and acceptance of the cultural diversity, in the context of European globalization and the abundance of refugees.

The theme of the project is defined by cultural understanding and acceptance of diversity, the promotion of entrepreneurship and employability in the European Union.

Perfil: 18-30 years, gender balance (three boys and three girls), young people who face with fewer opportunities for economic, cultural and social

Tarefas: Volunteers will carry out activities aimed to promote cultural heritage, understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity in the context of globalization. Weekly, volunteers will have the following work program:

 The first two days of activities will be carried out in schools and colleges:
-Manufacture and promotion of handmade objects, that have a correspondent in the cultures of 6 volunteers;
-The development of cultural activities and promoting intercultural diversity;
-Participation in cultural events and activities organized in the local community;
-Carrying out practical activities: painting, drawing, origami, handmade.

 The next two days of activities will be carried out in municipalities in the neighbours:
-Promoting traditional crafts on the village;
-The development and participation in cultural activities, festivals and traditional village dances, craft fairs;
-Specific intercultural events on the Village.

 Friday activities will be held at the FORTES Youth Centre is destined to the promotion of cultural and intercultural understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity in European cultural context, within a Cultural HUB.

-intercultural nights;
