Resumo: The host organization is a social cooperative, founded in 2003.Its main aims are the planning and implementation of social activities in favour of children and youngsters, with particular attentionto deviation, prevention and family counselling. The values inspiring our social actions are peace making, co – operation as a socialmodel in opposition to individualism and community break – up, diversity seen as a resource, solidarity and centrality of the humanbeing. Our activities are mainly addressed to children, youngsters and their families (in total around 1000 people), thanks to 48workers, youth leaders and educators and office employees. We are also supported by the help of many volunteers.

We completely agree with the democratic and participatory pedagogies. Their values as self managed tools for personal andcollective development constitute the very essence of our work. The implementation of participatory pedagogies in educationalprogrammes is one of the most important characteristics of non formal education, that is our main methodology.

Perfil: We are looking for a person interested in working with children (11-17) with family problems. It's important to have flexibility and capability of adaptation. It' s also important to be interested in learning the italian language due to the fact that the children are not able to speak english.

Tarefas: The volunteer will be involved in the activities and in some educational/information activities addressed to sensitive the local community about social and educational issues.
At the residential communities for minors (11-17 years old) she will support the educators in education for all children, playing a role of facilitator of relation, communication and socialization. She will make suggestions and new ideas to enrich the educational staff of each child, with particular attention to foreign minors, with greater difficulties of integration.She will support educators in different informal activities for the free time of the children/young people.She will also make a contribution of intercultural type in the organization of leisure of children, such as teaching typical games, dances, or cooking typical dishes of its culture of origin.
