Resumo: The host organization is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated volunteer to work in our education department !!

Working alongside our education officer, you will help create educational material and presentations to both school and university groups, either at onsite or offsite events. You will conduct informative talks to our visitors in the summer months, communicating the individual stories of how the monkeys came to live at the sanctuary, but also on our ethos and general objectives. Volunteers will have the opportunity to be creative, by coming an with new ideas and concepts which would help develop and expand the department.

In addition, to help you understand what we do and why we do it, volunteers will help in the rehabilitation and care of the monkeys. You will assist in cleaning the bedrooms and outdoor spaces, in addition to preparing food bowls and creating enrichment items. You may also be asked to help teach short term volunteers these tasks as well as assisting in the general site maintenance of the site, such as gardening, recycling or enclosure repair. We pride ourselves in creating a dynamic and exciting project which propels the volunteer in gaining an intimate site and knowledge of a working primate sanctuary.

Perfil: volunteers who have a special affinity to animals or education.
Age: 17-30

Tarefas: – Cleaning enclosure, preparing food bowls and creating enrichment items for the primates.
– Conducting public talks and Keeper for a days in the opening months.
– Teaching and helping short term volunteers
– Help Education officer with presentations to school and university groups.
– Help maintain education building.
– Assist with on site and off site events.
– Help conduct Skype calls to international classrooms.
– Help with general site maintenance of the site.
