Resumo: The host organization is a private foundation working for the research and conservation. Founded in 1954 it is at the cutting edge of multidisciplinary fields of research, building bridges between science, management and public policies, and drawing up management plans. The Tour du Valat has internationally recognized scientific expertise, and provides practical responses to problems regarding the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources.

Perfil: Age: 17-30

Tarefas: •Field work : datas collection on birds, plans, mamals, amphibians, water levels monitoring…
•Computerise ornithological, botanical or monitoring trends on wetlands datas,
•Search and computerise bibliographical datas,
•Awareness and transfert documents production.

The volunteer will work for one of our projects, depending of the needs of the differents teams and on the feeling of the volunteer. He/she will take part of data collecting, field observations (with ornithologists, botanists or ichtyologists…). He/she will take part of data analysis (on computer) under the responsibility of a project leader. If interest, he/she could work with communication team.

The project will help the volunteer to learn about the various job in our organisation, and to meet with students from differents countries, who are visiting or living with us.
