Resumo: The host organization is a private institution for 6 light mentally handicapped persons. The people living here are able to do personal tasks by themselves, and they all work in sheltered workshops, 3 of them here on the farm, the rest in nearby places. Our aim is to make these people able to move in a flat and be able to take care of themselves outside an institution.
In the organization there are 4 fully qualified staff and a Daily leader, there is a person on duty 24 hours a day

We have a lot of experience with young people helping out in the house, it adds life to the house, which the regular staff can’t give. The world opens up and moves into the house with all the benefits that it provides, both to the volunteers and the people. That are a part of life we are not able to create with the permanent employees. Our target is to intrigue the common life and society in to the house piece by piece, but in a way that our people are able to follow. Now we thought that it is time to invite people with a other culture and speech in to the organization.

The volunteer will have the opportunity to meet the everyday life of mentally handicapped persons in a farm environment with both fields, livestock, shop, kindergarten and all the activities these things provide. It will give the volunteer a whole new angle to his own life, being part of this community with joy, respect and a closeness that is the foundation for a close relationship and a positive outcome of the stay learning about the Danish culture and language.

Perfil: The recruitment process is open to all. But we prefer volunteers that are openminded and curious. You need to have a sence of humour, be interested in other people and their way of living. Our volunteers must also have a great ability to listen and to have a feeling for the situation they are in. English and German language will be very helpful in this position. A volunteer with a non-Danish cultural background will hopefully give the farm some extra intercultural energy and inspiration to its work with a global dimension.
Age: 17-30

Will be a motivation factor for the persons living here and help them in all aspect of life, both jobwise and in their spare time activities - Help planning and organising the weekend
- Cooking alongside a resident of the house
- Sometime join a resident at work to support and motivate
- Help cleaning in the rooms if necessary alongside the residents.
