Resumo: The association was born in 1999 from a group of volunteers which began to go, in the evening, to the gardens of the railroad station, to get in contact with drug addicted people, people without a place to sleep, and people that live in need.
Over the years the activities of the association increased and with them even the structure. Although principles as the importance of voluntary work (without which the association couldn’t lead all the activities), the defense of personal dignity and rights and the assistance in every moment to everybody who needs without any distinction, have always remained central points of our project.

Tarefas: in this project the volunteers will be asked to organize and take part to activities with refugees or homeless people. They are going to work mostly during the morning and the afternoon (evenings only if planned together), absolutely not during the nights.

They will take part to all the courses together with our staff (after learning the basics of the italian language), and get the online language support, as well as some lessons by volunteers.

Together with local volunteers, museums and organizations we have many art-workshops, as well as music, teather, football games and much more, so the volunteers will be able to take part to them, as well as help to organize them.
There is also the normal activity of the structures, like managing documents, permissions, checking the rooms to report eventual problems, helping our guests to reach the hospitals or police stations and so on... in the center for homeless people we invite our guests to make some professional courses, mainly with manual activities.
We also have a pet therapy activity, that is being done during the warm seasons for one day per week and the volunteers take part to it (usually the females).

In the activity paper there are other things we do, and where the volunteers can take part. But the main goal of the project is to make the volunteers meet and understand the situation of homeless or refugees, so these will be the activities that will be done most of the time.
